If you compare it to the leadership history of Southwest Capital Bank, you will see an unbroken family tree with a history of long-term relationships.

Our Roots are Right Here in New Mexico

The Bank was founded in 1890 by a group of local business leaders who managed the institution with a focus on local families. That same ownership remained in place until 1969, when Samuel D. Levenson, already a well-known business leader in the region, purchased Southwest Capital Bank. Mr. Levenson continued the same family-first approach to banking and expanded commercial lending to local businesses. Robert "Bob" Levenson joined his father in the early 1970s and grew the Bank’s services to include new branch locations, the bank’s first drive-up windows, and ATMs. Greg W. Levenson began working at a young age during his summer vacations and joined full-time in 2000. He has been the driving force behind Southwest Capital Bank, continuing a century's long passion for New Mexico based businesses and the families in our communities.
